Police say they have arrested 11 people in connection with an attack on a man with a suspected triad background in Wan Chai early on Tuesday.

A group of people were filmed using hammers and choppers to hit the victim’s car and two other vehicles in Gloucester Road in the early hours.

With injuries to his hands, legs and buttocks, the 36-year-old fled and took a taxi to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.

Police also arrested two people in separate vehicles on suspicion of fighting in a public place and possessing offensive weapons. They said they also suspect the pair of having triad backgrounds.
